Mr. Pete Vaughn

Mr. Berry E. "Pete" Vaughn, 91, of Royston, GA passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Brown Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Vaughn was born in Royston, GA on September 11, 1934, son of the late C.J. and Cleo Pullien Vaughn. He was a supervisor having worked for Seaboard Farms and a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Vaughn was also a farmer, Mason, and member of Freedom Congregational Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Sue Chastain Vaughn; and son, Ricky Vaughn.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Reggie and Mary Ann Vaughn of Royston, and Randy and Kelly Vaughn of Royston; sister, Geraldine Ledford of Royston; grandchildren, Cody Vaughn (Anna), Daniel Vaughn (Alana), Elijah Vaughn (Kacie), David Vaughn (Jana), Ryan Vaughn (Marley), Kelsey Vaughn (Brandon Fleeman), Karly Johnson (Clay) and Kaleb Plyler (Ashley Hamby); and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Vaughn will be held in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, with Rev. Andy Huff, Rev. Andy Bond and Rev. Reggie Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Mill Shoal Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. During other times, the family will be at the home of Reggie and Mary Ann Vaughn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Madison County Future Farmers of America.
