James Olin "Jim" Harold, Jr, of Felton, DE, passed away on August 5, 2025, from complications of a chronic illness.
Jim was born at Andrews Air Force Base in September of 1965. His dad was in the Air Force and the family had many moves before settling in Maryland. Jim grew up in Cheverly, Maryland and was a graduate of Southern High School in 1985. Jim had a passion for auto mechanics and cars, and after graduation he worked in a variety of jobs, most notably as a highly skilled auto mechanic, and a long-distance tractor trailer driver. He was friendly and kind-hearted. And when he wasn't working Jim could often be found helping friends and relatives repair and maintain their vehicles. In the last few years, Jim found distraction from his illness in working to restore a classic truck. Jim was also a dog lover and could always be found with his beloved dog "Cowboy" always by his side.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Olin Harold, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Beall, his sister, Shirley Vojtecky and brother-in-law, Mark Vojtecky, his sister, Tina Tauriello and brother-in-law, Chris Tauriello and his brother, Tim Harold and sister-in-law, Nicole Harold, as well as 10 nieces and nephews and 3 great nephews.
Services will be held at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 North Broad Street, Middletown, Delaware on Saturday, August 9 with viewing from 11:00 am-12:00 pm and a memorial service at noon. Following the service there will be a gathering with refreshments served at the Spring Arbor Club House, 1 Spring Arbor Dr., Middletown.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org in memory of Jim.
