James Monroe Harrington, age 74 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Harrington will be conducted on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 3PM in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Skelton officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
He was born December 30, 1948, in Trenton, TN; the son of the late Jerl Lee & Christine (Gammons) Harrington. James retired from Jackson State Community College as an electrician and maintenance employee; and was a member of Emanual Baptist Church in Trenton.
James is survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Worley) Harrington; four children, Michael Harrington, Kevin Harrington, Rhonda Ramsey, Brian Marbry; brother, Darrell Harrington; sister, Rita Scott; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Monroe Harrington Jr.; brother, Joe Harrington; and sister, Nancy Gibson.
The family will receive friends from 1PM-3PM on Saturday, April 29, 2023, in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. James Monroe Harrington.
