James E. Harris

James E. Harris, 75, a resident of Leavittsburg, OH went home to live with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2025. He left peacefully, accompanied by his loving wife of 53 years and under the care of Sanctuary Hospice.
Born July 16, 1950, in Elkins, WV, he was the son of the late William N. Harris and the late Lou L. (Hamrick) Harris. Also preceding him in death are five sisters, Donna Harris, Eldora Ford, Doralene Herring, Freda Snelson, and Frances Simmons; and brother, Boyd Harris.
Jim was no stranger to hard work and dedication. He always told the story of starting to work on cars at 9 years of age. He had numerous other jobs, from owning and operating his own semi-truck, working for Luntz Corp., and American Welding, but always did mechanical jobs on the side until he started his own business, Jim Harris Towing and Repair in 1985 from his home in Leavittsburg.
He worked diligently up to three weeks of his passing. Jim found great joy in camping, fishing, and hunting with his family, creating memories that will last forever.
Jim will be deeply missed by his wife, Janet L. Harris, sons, James (Barb) Harris and Jason Harris; grandchildren, Jeffery, LeeAnn, Kayla (David) and Kevin; and great-grandchildren, Bryson, Autumn, Emilayah, and Eralynn.
Jim's final resting place will be in the Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville, WV.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
