James Funeral Home - Newton FallsMark E. Kazimer age 73 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday March 10, 2026 at the Louis V. Stokes VA Hospital in Cleveland. He was born on Nov. 30, 1952 in Warren, OH the son of the late William J. Kazimer and Arvadia Ruth (Elliott) Kazimer. Mark lived in Newton Falls all of his life and graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1971. After high school, he joined the US Army and served during the Vietnam War from 1971- 1972. He married the love of his life, Judy Lynn Johnson on Nov. 12, 1998 and they enjoyed 27 years of marriage together. Mark worked as a cabinet maker at Kraftmaid Cabinetry in Middlefield for 13 years retiring in 2014. He was a long- time member of the St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church, and he loved to do autobody work on cars, and doing outside yardwork. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother & sister in law: James (Jim) & Debbie Kazimer.
He is survived by: 2 step daughters: Elizabeth O'Malley of Newton Falls, Michelle Chicko of Newton Falls, 2 step sons: Tim O'Malley of California, David & Diana Alicea of Toledo, OH, 1 sister: Jane & Bruce Simpson of Mukilteo, WA, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Wednesday April 8, 2026 at 11:00am with Father Zachary Coulter officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Tuesday April 7, 2026 from 5:00- 7:00pm. He will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Newton Falls. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the American Kidney Fund 11921 Rockville Pike Suite 300 Rockville, MD 20852 in his memory.
