Nancy J. Kazimer, 89, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 surrounded by loving family at Brookdale Skilled Nursing Care in Westlake, Ohio. She most recently resided in Rocky River, Ohio.
Nancy was born on May 12, 1935 to James Henry and Ethel Elser Davison. The second of four children, she was raised and worked on the family farm in Gustavus, Ohio until graduating from Joseph Badger High School. After earning her diploma from Trumbull School of Nursing, she worked as a registered nurse at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Ravenna Arsenal, and the office of Dr. Pedro Yap.
Before retiring, Nancy was a respected antiques dealer in the area. A talented painter, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, collecting, reading, watching the Cavs, and vacations at the beach.
Nancy married her beloved husband, Leonard Kazimer, in 1957. They resided in Newton Falls, raising four children, Susan (Carl) Ziek, Judith Hawkins, Patricia Sabo, and Timothy (Jennifer) Kazimer. She was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Nancy is also survived by her brother, John Davison and sister, Carol Bradford.
Besides her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by a sister and great-grandson.
Friends and family may visit from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Private inurnment will be at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
