James Hayes Obituary
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan Medders Hayes; his children, Tara Greene, Tighman A. Turner V (Paula Walker), and Amanda Hayes; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rickey Hayes; son-in-law, Kevin Greene; sisters, Viola Smith, Louise Smith, and Mary Matson; and his parents, James Clifford and Zelma Mae Hayes.
Pallbearers will be Gavin Greene, Anderson Turner, Donald Turner, Steve Crews, Tommy Smith, and Phillip Hagan.
Mr. Hayes was a member of Munford Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard's name to the Golden Springs Baptist Church Children's Ministry at www.goldensprings.org/give.
