Ralph passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Ralph was born on September 2, 1932, in Anniston, to James Asberry Taylor and Sally Exer Taylor. He was one of ten siblings in a large family rooted in strong values.

Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War era. He attained the rank of Corporal and was honorably discharged, receiving the National Defense Service Medal for his service.

Following his military service, Ralph worked as a machinist at M&H Valve, where he dedicated many years before retiring. He was known as a hardworking and dependable man.

Ralph was married to Shirley Brown, the mother of his sons, Ragan and Scott. Following her passing, he later married Jean Calhoun.

He had a passion for baseball and enjoyed coaching his sons. Ralph was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Saks and a proud Mason.

Ralph was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who valued time spent with his family. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, humility, and steady presence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Asberry Taylor and Sally Exer Taylor; his first wife, Shirley Taylor; his son, Ragan Taylor; and his grandson, Randy Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Luttrell, Billy Luttrell, Phillip Luttrell, David Bishop, and Skyler Doizer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Ralph's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (www.t2t.org) or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children (www.shrinerschildrens.org).
