James H. Henkle Sr., age 68, passed away, September 5, 2025, at Wright Rehab Center, Fairborn, OH.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Anna Carolyn Henkle; grandparents, Howard and Clariette Henkle; brother, John Henkle.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Elizabeth Hill; three children, Dori M.Owens (Kevin), James H. Henkle Jr., Thomas J Henkle; four grandchildren, Byron and Alicia Owens, Seren, James, Deklyn Henkle; uncle David and Aunt Carol Henkle; three brothers, Kenny Henkle (Jerrie), Richard Henkle, David Henkle; sister Mary Henkle; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
James was an U.S. Army, disabled veteran. He served in Germany for a year. He was a sergeant when he got out of the military.
Dad was a great man. He was happy most of the time. He taught us to be tough, proud, and resourceful. He was a good husband, father, grandfather and brother.
