James Hodges Obituary

Mr. James Lloyd "Jim" Hodges, 98, of Weaver, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hodges will be conducted by the family and will be held on a later date. Those preceding Mr. Hodges in death include his first wife, Betty Hodges; his infant son, David Lee Hodges; and his grandson, David Hodges. Left to cherish the memory of Mr. Hodges include his wife of 41 years, Beverly Hodges; his children, James Michael "Mike" Hodges (Sheila), Karen Borden (Donald), Debra Hodge (Ron), Michele Dwight (Gary), and Natalie Bowling (Jonathan); five grandsons, Bradley Hodges (Crystal), Blake Johnson (Marlena), Hunter Dwight (Ivy), Zac Robertson (Sherie), and Will Bowling; four granddaughters, Carrie Cook (Mark), Brittany Stevison (Brandon), Stephanie Bass, and Kristina Cole (Dee); and 22 great-grandchildren. Mr. Hodges retired from FMC in Anniston in December 1992, after transferring from West Virginia in 1969. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. In his spare time, Mr. Hodges loved being on the water and playing golf. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking and had a love for birds of all kinds. My sympathies go out to his family for their loss. He was one of my supervisors at FMC before his retirement. I know he will be missed.
