James "Jim" Emery Hoffman, 81, a lifelong resident of Springfield, MO passed away Friday, August 22, 2025. He was born October 27, 1943, to Emery and Esther Bernice Hoffman.

Jim was an avid fisherman and hosted many fish fries over the years for family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and hunting at the family farm in Morrisville, MO. Jim was a graduate of Willard High School. He worked for Ed Jenkins and Jenkins Diesel in Springfield, MO for over 30 years.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Carol Hoffman (Pikey); parents, Emery and Esther B. Hoffman; nephew, Paul R. Hoffman; grandson, Brett S. Keyston and granddaughter, April J. Villatoro (Keyston).

Jim is survived by three children, Aleta Marie Keyston, Emery Clay Hoffman, and stepson, Michael J. Oberstar; eight grandchildren, Issac Reid Hoffman, Kara Faith Carr (Hoffman), Tiffany Fanning (Keyston), Christina M. Milton (Keyston), Desiree M. Haikey (Keyston), and Jeremy Wade Keyston; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary J. Kelly and Betty J. James; and brother, John R. Hoffman.

Services will be held at 6pm, Thursday, September 25, 2025, in the Kansas Expressway Church of Christ, Fellowship Hall, located at 2540 N Kansas Expy in Springfield, MO. An open reception will be held immediately following the service. Light refreshments will be served.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
