James Horton Obituary
David attended Abbeville High School. He was employed for over 30 years with Higdon Septic Service and later with Powell Trash Service before his retirement. An avid hunter and successful sporting clay shooter, David was an enthusiastic Dirt Track Car Racing fan and enjoyed collecting cars and memorabilia.
He is survived by his mother, Diann Stone Patterson (Rusty) of Abbeville; his other mother, Judy 'Mama Judy' Horton; siblings, Cindy Simpson (Mike), Cathy Brown Price (Johnny) all of Abbeville and Bobby Brown (Tina) of Prosperity, SC; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends 10:00AM - 11:00AM Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:30AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Evans and Rev. Bobby Mabry officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family is at the home of his mother's, Diann and Rusty Patterson.
Memorial contributions, in memory of David, may be sent to the National Wild Turkey Federation, 770 Augusta Road, Edgefield, SC 29824-0530.
