Born September 2, 1939 in Farrell, PA, Mr. Hosfelt was the son of the late Ellsworth L. Hosfelt and Violet Ruth (Sullivan) Brown. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years: Cecilia Grace Hosfelt; a sister: Harriet Toskin; and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Jim was a United States Army Veteran and retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire and Rubber Company. He was a member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club, the Cumberland Eagles #245 and also the Cumberland Moose Lodge #271.
Jim is survived by his children: James Hosfelt, Jr. and wife Sherry; Melissa Mason; and Timothy Hosfelt and wife Patty; his grandchildren: Jenna Nevadunsky and husband Albert; Jacob Hosfelt and wife Michelle; Hayden Hosfelt; Nicholas Hosfelt and wife Madison; Chase Hosfelt; and James Clancy; as well as 4 great-grandchildren.
A committal service will be conducted at the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery at Rocky Gap on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
