James H. Howell, 82, of Marietta, GA, passed away on May 14, 2025. He was born on September 11, 1942, in Canton, OH, to the late Homer and Inez Howell.
James spent his life sharing his love for motorcycles, a passion that he carried with him since his teenage years. He found joy and adventure riding to races all over the East Coast, creating countless memories on the open road. James was proud to be a part of the Christian Motorcycle Association, where he shared his faith and enthusiasm for riding with fellow members.
Along with his love for motorcycles, he was also an active member of Mount Paran Church in Marietta, GA, where he cherished the community and shared in the fellowship.
He is survived by his son Peter (Katie) Howell; and grandchildren Addie Howell, Corbin Howell, Keppy Howell, and River Howell.
He is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Inez Howell; sisters Shirley and Jean.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home of Blairsville, GA, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Handy officiating.
The family will recieve friends on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home of Blairsville, GA, from 12:00-2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
James will be remembered not just for the places he traveled but for the friendships forged along the way.
