James (Jim) Harold Huey died peacefully at home on July 31, 2025, at the age of 85, while under Hospice care. He was born at Emory Hospital in Atlanta Georgia to Harold Lafayette Huey and Grace Walker Huey and lived with his parents and older sister Martha in the East Lake area of DeKalb County Georgia until 1944, when they moved to Dade County Florida. Jim attended Miami High School and was active in the Riverside Methodist Church and the Boy Scouts of America. He achieved the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Award in 1954. He attended Florida State University, In 1962 he returned to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked in information technology at Delta Air Lines from1963 to 1993, holding positions of increasing responsibility. During this time he earned an Accounting Degree from Georgia State University. In 1974 James met the love of his life, March Manning Price, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Atlanta. They were married in 1982 and recently celebrated their 43rd anniversary.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Martha Jo Petty. In addition to his beloved wife, March, Jim is survived by his cousins, William Thomas Cleveland and John Patrick Cleveland, his brother-in-law James Brewster Manning, step sons David Eugene Trum, Bradford Eldon Price, Britain Talbot Price and Barton Harleigh Price, stepdaughter Sandy Price Lee, step grandsons Damian Trum, Nicholas Trum, Jonathan Trum, Jack Dalton Price, Mike McGillicuddy, step granddaughters Torrie Trum McGhee, Mia Salmeri, and Kathleen McGillicuddy Regula.

Jim was an avid reader and loved to travel. He graciously endured chronic illness during the last years of his life. Courageous to the end, Jim was always a gentleman, always faithful, always grateful and lived to love and be loved.
