James Jackson

Coats, NC:  Mr. James A. "Billy" Jackson, age 81, of 155  Mann Road died Sunday at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie White and Rev. Tony Beasley. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens, Dunn. Mr. Jackson was born December 4, 1933 in Harnett County to the late James Felton and Vada Norris Jackson. He was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Colton Morrison; sister, Helen J. Lee; and brothers, Tommy Jackson, Linwood Jackson, and Garland Jackson. Mr. Jackson retired from Winn-Dixie after 40 years of service.  He was a charter member of the Coats Christ Fellowship Church in Coats. Surviving include his wife of sixty years, Arlene Ammons Jackson; children & spouses, J. Nelson & Pam Jackson of Dunn, Susan Talley of Erwin, and Sandra & Scott Lee of Dunn; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Champion of Dunn and Lula Norris of Benson; brothers, Jesse E. "Pee Wee" Jackson of Benson, Michael Stephen Jackson of Clinton, and Robert Lewis Jackson of Roseboro; and nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats from 6:00PM to 8:00PM  Tuesday.
