James F. Jasionowski

James (Jim) F. Jasionowski, 78, of North Canton, OH passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Jackson Ridge Rehabilitation & Care in Canal Fulton, Ohio after a long illness. He was born on September 22, 1946, in Canton to the late Frank and Blanche (Fabiniak) Jasionowski. Jim was a graduate of McKinley High School. He retired from Ford Motor in 1990. Jim was a dedicated worker and avid sports enthusiast focusing his love of football on his Canton McKinley Bulldogs He attended so many of their games cheering them on until his declining health slowed him down. That didn't stop him from following them from home by listening on the radio or TV. Jim was a past member of North Canton Eagles. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Jasionowski who just passed away less than four weeks ago, Stanley Jasionowski, Bill Bushong, and Chuck Cheviron. Jim is survived by siblings: Patricia, Joan, Daniel (Maryann), Diane (Bill), John (Brenda), Barbara (Philip), Janice (Terry), Chrissy (Russell), and Ted; sisters-in-law, Rona Jasionowski and Paula Jasionowski, many nieces and nephews, and his many friends at Jackson Ridge. Per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Stark County Humane Society. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Jackson Ridge Rehabilitation & Care in Canal Fulton for the absolutely wonderful way they took care of Jim during the four years he was there. You loved and took care of him and brought out the loving humorous side of Jim. Also, a special Thank You to the nurses and aids at Crossroads Hospice for the awesome care of Jim. We will be forever grateful for your kindness and gentleness to him. There are so many friends he made at JR that loved and respected Jim and they are deeply sad by his passing.
