James T. "Jumpin Jim" Jenkins

James "Jumpin Jim" T. Jenkins, 79, of Christopher, passed away on Tuesday September 17, 2024 at Franklin Hospital in Benton, IL. He was born on June 8, 1945 in Centralia, IL to William and Agnes (Hayes) Jenkins. He married Gloria (Waller) Jenkins on July 23, 1999 and she survives of Christopher. He is also survived by his children Bradley (Sue) Johnson of St Charles, MO and Shelley (Donnie) Baine of Mulkeytown; grandchildren Katelynn Baine and Madison Baine; one brother William "Billy" Jenkins of Sandoval, IL and two sisters-in-law Linda Jenkins of Kerrville, TX and Vivian Turner of Energy, IL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Steven Jenkins. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday September 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher with Zip Biby officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Donor's Choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
