James Walter Jenkins Jr., age 80, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Blake Westbrook and Rev. Sam Sellers officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. before the service begins. Burial will be Monday, July 28, 2025 in the Bonifay Cemetery in Bonifay, Florida.
Buddy was a native of Newnan, Georgia but raised in Bonifay, Florida and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Bonifay, Florida. He was a retired Central Ga. EMC Lineman and was in the Army National Guard. He played a lot of golf and he loved fishing, Panama City Beach and University of Alabama Sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter Jenkins Sr. and Mary Gillespie Blair; brothers, Danny Blair, Ricky Lee Blair and Ronald David Blair.
Survivors include his wife, Alicia Leavens; sons, Jason Jenkins (Kendra), John Leavens (Ashly) and Seth Bowman; brother, Randy Blair (Susan); sisters, Anice Gilly and Jenny Dockery; grandchildren, Matt Jenkins, Cody Jenkins and Andrew Leavens.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
