James "Jim" H. Baird, 77, of Marysville, Indiana passed away on November 1, 2025 in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Born June 1, 1948, Jim was the youngest of ten children and was a devoted family man. Jim retired from PQ Corporation in Jeffersonville. Over his life span, he worked numerous jobs at Jeff Boat, ICI Americas, and was a life-long farmer. Jim was an avid IU fan and could always be seen on one of his many International Harvester tractors in the field or at a tractor pull. In Jim's younger years, he was an all-star basketball player at New Washington High School and was an avid coon hunter. Jim also enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting with his numerous friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Maggie Baird, siblings Dee Baird, Glen Baird, Pete Baird, Mildred Hobbs, Virginia Cooper, Billie Franklin, and Margaret Dickey, many nieces and nephews, and his former wife, Mayrene Baird.
Jim is survived by his sons, Tim and his wife Mindy Baird of Marysville, Indiana and Matt and his wife Amy Baird of Charlestown, Indiana. Grandchildren Haley Baird, Patrick Baird, and Morgan Baird. Brother, George Baird of Madison, Indiana, and Sister, Lula Jones of Marysville, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.
