James “Jim” R. Hines Jr, of Newburgh IN, passed away on Thursday, September 11th 2025.

Jim was born on May 6th, 1962, in Evansville IN to loving parents James R. Hines Sr and Sandra F. (Williams) Hines. He graduated from Castle High School in 1981 and then pursued a long career in labor with Kight Lumber Company and started a family. Jim was also a member of the Newburgh Fire Dept.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr and Sandra.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jolene K. (Boger) Hines; beloved sons, Dakota W. Hines and Kasey A. Hines; his sister, Tina (Brian) Sidor, of Indianapolis; his nieces and nephews, of Indiana and Ohio; and his aunts and uncles of Florida and Arkansas.

A Visitation in Jim’s honor will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15th 2025 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Simpson Chapel 510 W Jennings Street Newburgh IN. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN.

Donations may be made in Jim’s memory to DaVita Dialysis Center #4486 in Newburgh, IN.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Richard DMello and DaVita Dialysis Newburgh.
