James "Jim" David McIntyre, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025.
He was born on May 7, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James Earl and Ruth (Hardin) McIntrye.
Jim proudly served as a Buffalo Soldier in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he also acted as the Treasurer of the 10th Cavalry Regiment 4th Infantry Division.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Joyce McIntyre, children, Jennifer Oxley (Jimmy), Craig Sanders, four grandchildren, Dylan, Cayla, Audrey and Oliver. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Laferty (Buddy), Debbie Sheffield and a host of nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
Visitation will also be on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
