James “Jim” E. Warfield, 69, of Zanesville, died at 3:42 A.M. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Genesis Hospital. He was born July 2, 1956, in Zanesville, a son of the late James Franklin and Mary Jane (Stubbs) Warfield. Jim worked for 1-800-Flowers, was a foreman for United Technologies and Harry and David and worked in the valet at Genesis Hospital. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Christine (Porter) Warfield, whom he married on July 5, 2025; a stepson, Chief W.O. James (Danni Valdez) Porter; a brother, Michael Warfield; sister in law, Pam Warfield; three nieces, Lakesha (Neil) Barlock, Misty (John) Cox and Lisa (Mike) Bowman; and a nephew, Michael (Amanda) Warfield ll.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Warfield; two brothers, Rick Warfield and Chuck Warfield; and two sisters, Rebecca Warfield-Lawson and Sandy Grotegear.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service starting at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 28, 2025 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Rev. Larry Jack officiating. Jim will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors accorded to him by the United States Navy in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058.
