James “Jimmy” Frank McVay, 58, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Jimmy was born on Friday, November 18, 1966, in Somerset, New Jersey, to the late Floyd “Sonny” and Martha “Marge” Ellen (Lester) McVay. In 1988, he and his family moved to Bonne Terre, Missouri, where he made his home.
Jimmy loved riding dirt bikes and Harley-Davidsons. He enjoyed drawing and painting and could often be found outside tending to his flower gardens. He loved listening to music—one of his favorite bands was Godsmack. Jimmy was a kid at heart, known for his playful spirit and deep love for animals, especially his little fur baby, Little Girl. You could often see him riding around Bonne Terre on his scooter, always with a smile and a friendly wave. Jimmy had a style all his own—he took great pride in his appearance, was particular about his hair, and loved his cologne.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steven “Steve” McVay; sisters, Brenda Shultz and Carol Martin; daughter, Savannah Price; and unborn grandbaby, Hannah.
Jimmy leaves behind his loving wife, Debra (Glore) McVay; sister, Jessica (Harold) Morgan; children, Matthew Price, James McVay, Faith (Travis) Yount, Angelic (Brandon) Morrow, Troy (Sierra) Glore, Nitikia (Drew Orloskey) Glore; grandchildren, Chelsea, Sabastian, Daniel, Matthew, Isabella, Liam, Serenity, Nevaeh, Haylee, Coledenn, Keegen, Alayna, Curtis, Amaya, Izabella, Matthew, Noah and Kylie along with many extended family, and friends.
We will always remember, miss, and cherish him in our hearts and lives forever.
