James "Junior" Colvin Green Jr., age 63, of Bladenboro passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 while at UNC Southeastern of Lumberton, NC. He was born in Cumberland County on January 15, 1960 to the late James Colvin Green and Evelyn Ludlum Green.
Junior leaves behind his adoring wife of 31 years, Carolyn Green, of the home, son James Harold Green of Bladenboro, sister Wanda Green Villanueva (Robert) of Lumberton, granddaughter Isabelle Green, nephew R. J. Villanueva and niece Vanessa Villanueva. He was preceded by his parents, his grandmother Mortie Ludlum and one nephew, Marshall Villanueva.
Junior was a compassionate, giving man. He adored his family, especially his grandmother Mortie and his wife, Carolyn. His second love was fishing. He enjoyed wetting a hook every chance he got. His love of life and willingness to help others will not soon be forgotten.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Bladenboro Chapel of Bladen Gaskins, 800 N. Main St., Bladenboro, NC 28320 followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm with the Reverend Leroy Wright officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Singletary Cemetery of Butters in Bladenboro.
