James was born in Yonkers, NY to the late Helen and James Kantlehner. He worked as a CPA for over 30 years. James enjoyed golfing, working with wood, gardening, going to the casinos and playing blackjack, watching the Yankees, cheering on the KC Chiefs and enjoyed watching Caitlin Clark play for Indiana Fever. He also did the food pantry midnight run in NYC. James was a very devoted man, loved his family more than anything, and always had a good "dad joke" to tell.
Mr. Kantlehner is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Katherine, daughters; Cathy Kantlehner of Murrells Inlet, Kerry and husband Frank Keller of Danbury, CT and Chrissy Greenwald of Peekskill, NY, grandchildren; Kayla and Brandon Greenwald, brothers; Thomas and wife Maria Kantlehner of NJ and Richard Kantlehner of California.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. The Burial will follow at Ocean Woods cemetery in Myrtle Beach.
