Age 85. Beloved husband of 67 years to Patricia (nee Stankowski) Karalus; devoted father of Dr. Catherine (Jay) Goodwyn, DDS, Joanne (Rev. Garry) Seefeldt and Suzanne (Lewis) Blue; loving grandfather of Dr. Paul J. Goodwyn, MD, Jillian (John) Shepard, Lindsey (Cody) Seefeldt-Cantwell, PhD, Kristen Blue, and Cody Blue; adored great-grandfather of Beau, Charles, and Riley; dearest brother of Joseph (Mary) Karalus and the late Rose (Thomas) Garwood and Anne (Walter) Young; also survived by nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-7 PM on Thursday, August 21st, at the (Orchard Park Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 6170 W. Quaker St., where prayers will be offered 9:00 AM on Friday, August 22nd, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 AM at St. Josaphat Church. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be to the Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinson.org. James was employed by UAW as a Machinist and Licensed Commercial Truck Driver for General Motors. Jimmy was our neighbor for over 18 years. We enjoyed our laughs and helpful suggestions he made when I was trying to do something outside. My mother grew up with Jimmy and Patty in the old neighborhood. He used to share memories of back then with us. May you rest in peace. You'll be missed. Don't worry about your cat Cali. I'll do the best I can for her.
