James Kerns Obituary

James has been a longtime resident of Garden City, previously living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He worked in construction for several years before working in car sales and also worked for many years as a body repairman for Peterbilt of Garden City. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, car racing, NASCAR, and loved the game of football where he was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos. He also loved the Colorado mountains especially Rainbow Falls.
Survivors include three siblings Jacqueline Ming of San Diego, California, Mark Ming and Mike Ming; and four nieces and nephews Michael Smith and Christina Smith both from San Diego, California, and George Ming III & wife Tessa and Lynell Drown & husband Derek both from Amarillo, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Amarillo, Texas. There will be no calling hours. Condolences may be given at garnandfuneralhomes.com.
