This is the life of James Anthony Kielczynski, 84, of Wood Dale IL who was born in Chicago, IL on January 5, 1941 and passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025 surrounded by his daughters.

James had a sprightly sense of humor and touched the lives of many, making people laugh and smile by playfully teasing them. To James, everyone looked like someone famous or someone else he knew, which his children referred to as one of his many "dadisms." Jim, Ampa/Papa as his grandchildren called him, loved dogs, cars, motorcycles, loved to whistle, had meticulous handwriting, was a hard worker, and in his younger days restored cars with perfection and precision

James is survived by his daughters: Colleen Kielczynski, Kimberly Honcharuk (Ken Pett), Susan (Steve) Schmitz and Janiece Cox. His Grandchildren: Alisha (Brian) Barnum, James (Delois) Fisherkeller, Jordyn (Nathan) Lowery, Zachary Schmitz, Kyle Costa, Emelle Costa, and Kaden Costa. His Great Grandchildren: Tyler Barnum and A.J. Fisherkeller. Beloved brother to Shirley Kielczynski. He was an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many. James is preceded in death by his wife Gale Kielczynski, sister Dolores Zachas, and parents Florian and Charlotte Kielczynski.

Services will be held at Geils Funeral Home in Wood Dale on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 11am- 3pm with a service at 2pm.
