James Patrick Kildunne, aged 89, of Rockville Centre, NY, passed away peacefully on the 16th May, 2023. James was born on 4th May in Brooklyn, NY to Patrick and Mary Kildunne (nee Tunney). James led a life filled with love, compassion, and faith.
James attended Brooklyn Prep and later graduated from Fordham University. He spent his professional career as a Technical Business Manager at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company where he worked for 36 years.
Beyond his professional achievements, James was an avid sports fan, in particular his love for the NY Giants. In the earlier years, he enjoyed coaching his son's baseball and basketball teams and later on spectating at his grandchildren's sporting events. He also loved playing golf with friends. In his retirement James and Margaret enjoyed spending winters in Florida where they were active volunteers in the Meals on Wheel program.
Family was at the center of James' life. He is survived by Margaret (Peggy), his loving wife of 66 years, and together they built a beautiful life and cherished countless memories. He was a devoted father to four children: James (deceased), Maureen Tita (Anthony), Stephen Kildunne (Michelle) and Carolyn Morgan (Nicholas). James also adored his nine grandchildren (Michael, Lauren, Stephen, Catherine, Julia, Christopher, Claire, Annabel and Alexandra) and was a proud great grandfather to Ruby Nazareth Tita (aged 3). James loved his family; he was a proud father and grandfather and was keenly interested in all of their achievements and experiences.
