James "Jim" Kingsbury, age 85 of Mountain, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, with family by his side after a period of illness.

Jim dedicated many years of his career to Halquist Stone Quarry, where he was a proud member of the Operating Engineers Local 139. Earlier in life, he served his community as a police officer in Menomonee Falls. Beyond his work, Jim was deeply connected to the outdoors. As an active member of the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association, he found joy in learning about caring for woodlands and enthusiastically shared his knowledge with others. He also loved traveling and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Jim is survived by his significant other, Arlene Roehl; daughters, Jolene Kaczmarek (significant other Keary Gallagher) and Amy Kingsbury (significant other Tony Rogers); grandchildren, Ashley (James) Justen and Justin Heian; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Aaron, and Owen. He is further survived by his brother, Bill (Judy) Kingsbury; sister, Alice (Marv) Weiss; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June; parents, James and Eva Kingsbury; step-mother, Anita Kingsbury; sister, Ann (Gene) Kissinger; brother, Don Kingsbury.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home (116 South Krueger Street, Suring, WI 54174) from 9 am until the memorial service at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association, Inc., P.O. Box 285, Stevens Point, WI 54481-0285, in memory of James Kingsbury.

Jim will be remembered for his hard work, his love of the outdoors, and the devotion he showed to his family and friends.
