Rosemary A. Kingsbury, 90, passed away on September 30, 2025. She was born on January 21, 1935, in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter of Gilbert and Dorothy (Ahlberg) Jordal. Rosemary graduated from Steward High School in 1953. She married Ralph V. Kingsbury on August 8, 1953, in DeKalb, and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1999.
She worked as a secretary for Autometer Products in Sycamore. Rosemary and her daughter Vicki ran a successful business called Office Support in Hampshire. She also was a consultant for Shaklee for many years.
Rosemary loved to be outside working with her flowers, as well as sewing and tole painting. With a love for music, she enjoyed playing the accordion, as well as playing and teaching the organ and piano. As a life-long learner and Christian, she loved her womans’ Bible studies.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Paul (Anita) Kingsbury, son-in-law, Michael Deutsch, Cheryl (Dean) Carr, and Eric (Shelly) Kingsbury; grandchildren, Terrilynn, Brandy, Melissa, Dusty, Kayley, Brandon, Crystal, Ashley, Ryan, Valerie and Alexandria Natasha; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Charles (Vicki) Jordal, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Vergene Jordal; her son, Ralph “Craig” Kingsbury; and her daughter,Vicki Lynn Deutsch.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Maywood Evangelical Free Church, 3621 Samuelson Road, Rockford IL 61109, with a visitation prior to the service starting at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Malta Cemetery in Malta, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Special Olympics or Beth Jordal-a missionary with One Mission Society.
