James Knapp Sr. Obituary
James "Jimmy" Francis Knapp Sr., aged 47 years old, passed away peacefully on Tuesday 21 November 2023 of natural causes. James was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and grandfather. James was preceded in death by his father, Gene P. Knapp Sr; his nephew, Joseph M. Townsend Jr.; and his brothers, Gene P. Knapp Jr. and Raymond E. Knapp.
James leaves behind a large family including his mother, Ruth (nee Barth) Knapp; his sons, Jarrett (Dai'Ja') Selba, James Knapp Jr., Joshua Knapp and Justin Selba; his grandchildren Cameron, Jordan and Morgan; his brothers, John Knapp, Kurt (Tom) Knapp, Carl (Cheryl) Knapp; his sister, Ruth (Joseph) Townsend Sr.; his sister-in-law, Angel Knapp; and 42 nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Thursday, Nov. 30th, from 4 - 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to Habitat for Humanity or St. Vincent de Paul.
