I just learned of Jim´s passing today when I ran into Jim Hill at Subaru in Riverdale. I worked with him for many years at DI. He was just the greatest Church member and colleague. I always loved his kindness and sense of humor. Now he has a higher calling, and I know we will meet again!

So sad to hear of his passing. Jim was a longtime friend and such a great guy. He would save bikes at the DI for project use at the USU Assistive Technology Lab to help us build mobility devices for disabled individuals. Never without a smile is how I will always remember him.

We are saddend to hear of Jims passing. We enjoyed very much associating with him in the 25th ward when he was a bishop . I worked closely with him and thought he had empathy for many in the ward. Bob and Elaine Hill

Jim had a way of making everyone feel like they were his best friend. He was a tremendous example of Christ-like love and patience. Till we meet again, brother!

I am proud to say that I have known Jim since May 1992. When I first started at DI. We had a dinner party my first week with the Logan and Brigham City DI´s. We became good friends from that day. Jim´s dad and my dad were close friends from college and in fact I bought my wife´s diamond from Weldon´s personal stock. It was amazing to me that Jim could learn the name´s of everyone he met. He always made you feel of worth. As has been stated he had vast knowledge about a wide range of items and he loved to test me on what I knew. He loved to stump me on occasion. We both loved the vintage items. Jim coined the phrase "DI Heaven" for the Logan store and with him here it was.

I don´t think I ever saw Jim without a smile on his face. I had the opportunity to serve with him on the ski patrol. When I was a rookie patroller he always made it a point to say hi whenever our paths crossed. We spent allot of time talking about classic broncos.. something we both enjoyed. I can see him now headed up skiing in a beautiful restored bronco on a powder day. Blue skies, powder and no lines for you my friend.

Jim Kofoed was one of the most sincere, kind, and loving men I have ever met. I was grateful to have been associated with him. He was one of my favorite bosses and the perfect example of how a boss should be. He had some of the best stories. His knowledge of knives and all things antique were astounding! We have lost a great man here on earth, but I know he is doing great work on the other side for the Lord. We will miss you, Jim Kofoed. Our prayers are with your family at this time.

A GIANT of a man! I will forever be grateful for the blessing it was for me to `rub shoulders with´ and learn from Jim professionally for the past 25 years. I can honestly say I am a better man because of my association with Jim. I will miss him.

I love Jim and am forever grateful he was a part of my family´s life. He was such a staple in our Valley. Jim always knew, and was happy to share, the rest of the story. If ever I had a question, I knew just the person to ask. There are so many places, stories, and things that will always remind me of Jim. To name just one, I think of him every time I handle a Mora, Opined, or Swiss Army knife.
