James Krick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. on Sep. 3, 2024.
James E. Krick, 70, of Shillington, passed away August 29, 2024 in the Reading Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Alice M. (Mohn) and Edgar T. Krick, Jr., Reading, and the loving husband of Denise M. (Wilson) Krick. He and Denise would have celebrated 49 incredible years of marriage in September.
Jim was a Machine Operator for Carpenter Technology for 37 years, retiring in 2016. He was also a Master Carpenter who loved to work with his hands. One of the hardest workers you would ever meet, Jim would simply do anything for anybody in need. When not working, Jim enjoyed playing games with his family and quiet times fishing.
Jim's greatest passion were his grandchildren, and he loved spending time with them every chance that he got, especially attending their sporting events.
In addition to Denise, Jim is survived by his daughter Nicole Koenig, wife of Scott, Shillington, and sons Nathan J. Krick, York, and Brandon M. Krick, Shillington, and the lights of his life, grandchildren Cobie, Branson, Taylor, Lance, Tyler and Siena.
Jim is also survived by brothers: John, Alan (Denise), and Steven (JoAnne) Krick, and sisters: Patricia Belz (David), Cynthia McDonald (Neil), Sandra Remp (Richard), Lori Kleinsmith (Barry), and Sharon Knapp (Steve). He was predeceased by a sister, Doreen Krick.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3 Denver Road, Denver, PA, 17517, with Public Viewing in the Church from 11:00-12:00. Pastor Keith Sweitzer will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
In lieu of flowers, to honor Jim's passion and talent to work with his hands and help others, donations can be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Please note Finish Ministries in the memo line. The Finish Ministries help small churches and those in need with building projects.
