Barbara Ann Krick

Barbara Ann (Pearce) Krick, born January 26, 1929, life-long resident of Portsmouth, VA, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at the age of 96.
She is predeceased by her husband of S1 years, William Dillon Krick, Sr., of Ida Grove, Iowa, her parents, Clyde Vernon Pearce and Mary Lee (Spence) Pearce, of Portsmouth, her sister Billie Marie (Pearce) Mark of Williamsburg, VA, her brother, Glenn Albert Pearce of British Columbia, Canada, her son, W. Dillon Krick, Jr., and her nephew by adoption, Craig Johnson. She is survived by one sibling, her brother, Maurice Alan Pearce of Chesapeake, VA.
Barbara was a member of Green Lakes Baptist Church and has a long history in music, singing in choirs, and as a pianist and organist. She often substituted where vacancies would arise, and also played for funeral homes on a more regular basis when there were special requests. In her free time, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed her multitude of friends. A good friend too many, always having a bright smile and was very outgoing.
Barbara had a steadfast conviction in what she believed about living life, doing for others, and everyone doing as they should, She did her best to do her best, and tried to be her best to all those with whom she crossed paths. May she now rest in peace in the presence of the One in whom she placed her trust, Jesus Christ.
Barbara received very faithful, personal and loving care during her stay with the family at "Dedicated Caregivers'' assisted living facility, for whom we offer much gratitude! Perhaps often tired and weary, but always tireless and devoted to service: never quitting.
During the more difficult times of trips to the hospital, there is nothing but praise for the professional personnel of Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, its affiliates and transporters, etc. I have not seen a more efficient collection of people called: "a TEAM''.
A visitation is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, January 11, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, at Hollomon-Brown, Kempsvi1le Chapel, 1485 Kempsville Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23464. A graveside service will be Monday, January 12, at 12:00pm, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3920 Airline Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23321. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com
