Hard to believe that a year has gone by.
Jim was a wonderful friend and Coast Guard Academy classmate. We shared some terrific memories.
Our condolences to his family,

I will always remember Jim with the fondest of memories. We were classmates at the Coast Guard Academy. Jim and I, along with another classmate, Dave Sandell, roomed together in our "Swab" (first) year, where we were subjected to all sorts of "indoctrination" by upperclassmen.
When we had "liberty" in New London, something of a rarity during "swab" year (too many demerits), we often "hit the beach" together. We sailed on the training barque EAGLE, and when we were in Europe during cadet cruise port calls, we visited places and did things as a team.
I was privileged to be an usher at Ann and Jim's wedding.
Great guy! Truly great guy!
My wife, Maureen, and I extend our genuine sympathies to the family.
