Karen Sue Krish

Karen Sue Krish, age 56, of Chesaning, died peacefully at her home on October 30, 2025 surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Karen was born on June 17, 1969 to Clarence and Joyce (Vanwormer) Salisbury in Lansing, Michigan.
As a young adult, Karen started her career working in the mail room at Jackson National Life Insurance Company. She quickly rose to a position if loan officer and annuities specialist as they recognized her gift with financial numbers.
In 1992, Karen met her future husband, Russell Krish, at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Lansing where the two eventually wed on April 30, 1994. As their family grew, Karen decided to go back to school where she earned her associates degree in accounting.
Karen's degree eventually led her to the position of payroll specialist for the City of Lansing. Then finally head of payroll for the City of Owosso.
Though Karen worked many places, she would tell you quickly that her best role was being a mom, Grandma (Mimi), and friend to many. She loved living and sharing her faith along life's way as she served all those around her and always made room to include others, especially those who needed a bonus mom, grandma or friend.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband; children, Annalia Krish, Edison (Kennadie) Krish, Saegly Krish (Carter LaFleur), and Caleb Krish; grandchildren, Norah and Maxwell Krish; siblings, Martin (Maria) Salisbury, Bonnie Dunn, Elizabeth (Bob) Peck, Esther Salisbury; siblings-in-law, Julie (Elliot) Aspenwall, Jill (Rian) Bass, Steve (Rachel) Krish; as well as many nieces, nephews, bonus children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Joyce; and parents-in-law, Duane and Carolyn Krish.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at McGeehan Funeral Homes - Martin Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm - 7:00pm on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Bella Woman's Center in Owosso, Michigan.
