Donald C Krish

Louisville - Donald Charles Krish, 89, passed away peacefully May 13, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Born May 31, 1934, raised in Louisville's West End, and a Catholic by faith, Don attended St. Columba and Flaget High School, Class of 1952.
Don was preceded in death by his Wife, Frances "Frankie" Fow Krish, Father, Herbert Krish, Mother, Louise Echsner Krish and brother, Theodore Krish.
As a young man, Don worked in the family's business, the Louisville Laundry, before opening Krish Brothers Dry Cleaning and Laundry with his brother Ted in 1952. In 1964 Don and Ted started Coit Cleaning and Restoration Inc. where Don recently retired.
Don was a veteran of the Kentucky Air National Guard, joining just after High School, serving 9 years attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant. Don loved flying, owning multiple Cessna aircraft.
With Wife Frankie, Don enjoyed years of houseboating on the Ohio River as a member of the Knights of Columbus Boat Club. Another passion was owning Corvettes. In February 2023, Don purchased his last Corvette, a 70th anniversary 2023 convertible.
Don and Frankie were married for more than 63 years. Survivors are daughter, Cathy Bauer(Mike), Mark (Eunice), Donnie (Michele) and Pat (Angie). Don was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024 at his church, St. Albert the Great, 1395 Girard Drive, with Fr. Dave Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetary. Visitation will be from 3 - 8 p.m., Friday, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville, Rd.
