Stephen Martin Gephart, 66, formerly of Louisville passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on December 11, 2025 in Coon Rapids, MN.

He was born on August 16, 1959, in Evansville, IN to the late Barbara Gomperts Gephart and George Gephart.

While being born with Downs Syndrome, he never let that slow him down. He went to school at Jeffersontown Special Education Center; was active in Special Olympics, winning medals and ribbons in swimming and trophies in bowling; and was active in St. Mary's Center, until he moved out of town to Maryland and Minnesota to live with family.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, George, Susan, John, Joseph, Gerard, Kathleen, Paul, and Laura Gephart.

He is survived by his loving sisters, Veronica Deibel, Mary Pat Laslie (Wayne), and Beryl Foeman (Roy); numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2025 at St. Martha Catholic Church 2825 Klondike Lane with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. on Saturday at his church.
