Joyce Ann Addams

JOYCE ANN ADDAMS, 89, of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital. Born in Louisville, she was the former Joyce Redden. Joyce was a retired Court Appointed Special Advocate and dedicated her life to serving others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Leora Redden; her brothers, James Erskine Redden, Carlton Ray Redden, and Clayton Leroy Redden; and her sister, Iris Mae Miller.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 69 years, James "Jim" Addams; her two daughters, Susan Addams and Larissa DuBey (Scott); her granddaughter, Alexis Blake Talley; her great-grandson, Marshall Reece Patel; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Joyce cherished her family and the time they spent together. She was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord and her church family at Hurstbourne Baptist Church. She had a passion for music. She especially enjoyed classical and sacred music. She delighted in singing in the church choir and with Sweet Adelines in her younger years.

Visitation will be held from 2:00–7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersontown, 10600 Taylorsville Road. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in the Ratterman Chapel, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
