James Kuni Obituary
Born in Pittsfield on November 13, 1960, he was a 1979 graduate of Taconic High School.
Jim was an auto body technician by trade. He was proud to be the Indian mascot at Taconic for 15 years, and ran the boosters for Taconic football and wrestling. His children and family meant everything to him.
Mr. Kuni leaves his wife, the former Kim Dias, whom he married July 8, 1983.
He is also survived by his sons, Benjamin Kuni and significant-other Christine of Pittsfield, Nickolaus Kuni and wife Brianna of Pittsfield, Travis Kuni and wife Johanna of Pittsfield, B. Lytle and significant-other Jaclyn of Pittsfield, and Craig Casella and wife Jenna of Pittsfield. Thirteen grandchildren, his in-laws, siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to his best friend John Turner, Diane and Joe Casella and his Hospice friends, Jaime, Audrey, Lori, Amanda, and Sue. We also would like to extend our greatest appreciation to Dr. Oelberg and his nurse Releasa, for all their continued support and comfort.
A Celebration of Life will be held November 16, 2024 from 4 to 10 p.m. at Drifters Bar located at Bousquet Ski Resort.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to Shriner's Hospital for Children and mailed to Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
