James E. Lamborghini

Melbourne - James Elliott Lamborghini, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 17, 2021 at the age of 92. He was born in Plymouth, MA on January 22, 1929. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force in 1947, and served in Japan in the 422nd Air Police Squadron. For most of his life, Jim worked in the insurance business in Massachusetts. In 1990, he moved to Florida and settled in Melbourne, working part-time at insurance agencies and at Sherwin Williams. Most important of all, Jim was a man who loved the Lord and looked forward to the day he would be with Him.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph S. and Gladys Elliott Lamborghini, a son, Jay, the mother of his children, Joyce, two brothers, Joseph and William (Jack), and a sister, Janet Lamborghini. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Anne Lamborghini, a son, David Lamborghini (Helen), a daughter, Alison Gilchrist (Alan), and a stepson, Mark Pippin (Tania). He is also survived by four grandchildren, Joshua and Christian Lamborghini, Collin and Leah Gilchrist, a great- granddaughter, Summer Lamborghini, three stepgrandchildren, Roya Ritchson, Daniel Pippin (U. S. Army), and Gabriela Filippelli.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm on Sunday, March 21, at Ammen Family Funeral Care, 1001 S. Hickory St., Melbourne. The funeral service is on Monday, March 22, at 2 pm at Heritage Baptist Church, 700 Hollywood Blvd., West Melbourne, followed by burial at Florida Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
