James F. LaPrade, 72, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 12, 2025, at home.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late, Francis P. and Helen D. (Croteau) LaPrade, and has lived here all his life. He graduated from Worcester Boy’s Trade School and received a Certificate in Engineering from WPI. He worked as a process engineer for over 45 years at Madison Cable, now TE Connectivity. He enjoyed the Red Sox, Bruins, and auto racing.
James is survived by many cousins and friends, including Joseph Carlson and Candice Mero Carlson. He was predeceased by his sister, Marie E. LaPrade.
Calling Hours and Funeral Mass will all take place in Saint Bernard’s Church.
Calling Hours will be on Tuesday, December 23, from 10 am until his Funeral Mass begins at 11am Saint Bernard’s Church of Our Lady of Providence Parish, 228 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Interment will be at Notre Dame Cemetery.
