James Ledet Obituary
Entombment will be held in Saint Nicholas Catholic Church Cemetery Mausoleum in Patoutville, LA.
The visitation will be held at Fletcher Funeral Home on Saturday, February 7, 2026, beginning at 8:00 A.M. until10:30A.M. with a rosary to be recited at 9:00A.M.
Mr. James Larry Ledet, Sr. was a native of Jeanerette, LA and a resident of Broussard, LA. He departed this life on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at his residence.
James proudly served his country in the United States Air Force having fought in the Vietnam War. He was a longtime member of the American Legion, a devoted member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Broussard, LA, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Helen Theresa Tauriac Ledet of Broussard, LA; two sons, James Larry Ledet, Jr. (Sandra) of Peoria, AZ and John Albert Ledet of Broussard, LA; two daughters, Malia Renee Ledet of Conroe, TX and Christina Olorunda (Daniel) of Ashburn, VA; three sisters, Mary Almita Semien of Broussard, LA, Evelyn Rodriguez (Jose) of Jeanerette, LA and Lynell Dartez (Christopher) of Sacramento, CA; three brothers, Marrion Ledet of Jeanerette, LA, Russell Ledet (Aline) of Mill Valley, CA and Preston Ledet, Sr. of Broussard, LA; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ledet and Leona Olivier Ledet and one brother, Wilmer Ledet.
Active Pallbearers will be James Larry Ledet, Jr., John Albert Ledet, James Larry Ledet III, Marcus R. Ledet, Albert Rodriguez, David Olorunda, Harrold Johnson III, and Specialist Barren Anthony Spivey, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Russell Ledet, Preston Ledet, Jr., Vance Ledet, Kirksten Ledet, Dadrien Ledet, and Kyle Zenon.
