"It is true that the best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched but are felt in our hearts." On October 8, 2023, James Christopher Lee, 54 of Houston, TX finally made it home to his heavenly Father.

Chris was born on June 20, 1969, to Elena Lee and Kenneth Lee in Houston, TX. He was the third of four children and their first son. In elementary school, he met a lifelong friend, Jonathan Burdett. While attending Teague Middle School, he found another lifelong friend in Doyle Senn. He then went on to Nimitz High School graduating in 1988. After graduation and some soul searching, Chris made the decision to enlist in the U.S. Army in 1989. He was extremely proud to have served his country which speaks loudly of his love to serve and help others. After his time in the military, Chris spent most of his career as a machine operator at Reed Tool Co. later known as NOV. One of his greatest moments in life was August 22, 2002, when his daughter Mckenna Lee was born.

All who knew Chris, will remember him for his goofy ways, the sweet smile that reached his eyes, and the bottomless pit of kindness that he bestowed on others.

Chris is preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Proffitt, his maternal grandparents, Buddy and Jewel McDaniel and his paternal grandparents, Jim and Lou Ella Lee.

Chris leaves behind his daughter Mckenna Lee, his mother Elena Lee, his father Kenneth Lee, his sister Connie Guerrero and brother-in-law Rudy Guerrero, his brother Jaccen Lee and sister-in-law Dawn Lee, and his brother-in-law Jay Proffitt. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews: Jay Proffitt III, Austin Proffitt, Joshua Proffitt, Miranda Foster, Jacob Knotts, Amber Horne, Kendall Forehand, Jaccen Lee Jr, and James Lee.
