James Lefter Obituary
On August 2, 2021, James Lefter, beloved husband of the late Angeline Lefter (nee Plakatoris); devoted father of Joanne Zaslow (Hal), Dianne Lefter, and James Lefter, II (Anne); loving grandfather of Meredith Martin (Mike), Joel Zaslow (Zachary Stodart), and Joshua Lefter; cherished great-grandfather of Rebecca and Seth Martin; dear brother of the late Catherine Curtis and Evelyn Terry; and brother-in-law of Janet Plakatoris; also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mr. Lefter will lie in state at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (Parkville, MD) on Monday, August 9th, from 10-11am, at which time the Funeral Service will begin. Interment St. Demetrios Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Maryland Food Bank, Oak Crest Employee Scholarship Program, or the Community College of Baltimore County Foundation.
