James was raised in Independence and Blairstown, MO. He graduated from Sherwood High School in 1988. James was a truck driver most of his life and was currently driving for Versailles Tool Barn, LLC.
In addition to his wife, Michelle, he is survived by his mother, Constance, Versailles; step-son, Patrick Reyes of the home; an aunt, Nancy Croy, Versailles; step-mother, Pansy Legall, Blairstown, MO; step-brothers, Marty Watson, Clinton, MO, Kenny Watson, Clinton, and Bruce Watson, Quick City, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, James "Ted" Legall; a brother, Michael Aaron Legall; and grandparents Quincy & Mary Bearce.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Bluff Cemetery, Barton County, MO with Pastor Richard Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Crossroads Community Center, Versailles, MO.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO.
