Jim was a wonderful friend of mine. We met while we were stationed at Sembach Air Force Base in Germany from 1971 - 1973. We both worked at the Sembach Dental Clinic. I remembered his sense of humor and his ability to always understand the essence of any topic under discussion. Most of all, I always enjoyed the time we spent together at work, and several trips to France and Spain. My most memorable times would be when Jim would read some of his poetry. I admired his wit and humor in his works. They were incredible. When Kari called to tell me that Jim passed away, I was speechless. I was unable to ask what happened to Jim. I am sorry that I was not able to visit Jim and his family more often over the years. Unfortunately, we lived many miles away. He will always be in the heart!!
