James Allan Lisberg, age 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025, lived over 50 years in Skokie and the last 20 years in Arlington Heights. Jim was the beloved husband for 62 years of the late Rose Lisberg, nee Maikon; loving father and father-in-law of Michael and Alison (Kagan) Lisberg; adored grandfather of Samantha Brooke Lisberg and Noah Scott Lisberg; devoted son of the late Harry and the late Edith (Epstein) Lisberg. Jim dedicated over 60 years of his life to a successful career at New York Life, where he was known for his commitment and integrity. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. Beyond his professional achievements, Jim served as a hockey referee and was a member of the board of directors of the IHOA (Illinois Hockey Officials Association) and as Director of Officials for the UIC Flames and as Vice President of Pottawatomie Park Baseball. Jim was fiercely and madly in love with his wife, Rose, and was a wonderful father and grandfather. He was a vital and energetic person up until his last day. He had many friends and was known as "a great guy!" His legacy is one of dedication, love, and community spirit. Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I am sorry for your loss.
I first met Jim in the early 1970´s when he lived on Sheridan road in Chicago. We met at our Texaco gas station and I became a customer of New York life through him. We remained friends for many years . I retired to Florida in 2010 . Peace be with him and his family.
